Abstract

  1. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is in 5 different sectors. Each sector is divided into several estates. Each estate is further divided into compartments. Compartment is the smallest unit of harvesting and planting operations. One compartment may be allocated to one or several fielding coupes (FC). PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk is one of the pulp producing companies or commonly called pulp in Indonesia.

 problems that often occur in differences in capacity are quite large in some distribution of wood raw materials, causing bottlenecks and work in process and The general objective of this research is to analyze the bottleneck work station to obtain an efficient line design of the production process and can be used as a material consideration for companies in estimating the constraints that occur on the production floor so that the company can overcome the constraints that occur and production targets. And achieved and solving problems faced by the company and increasing competence in applying the theory of direct observation of an event or situation to find out how the company cntontrols finished goods inventory both physically and administratively.

The conclusion that can be drawn from the CRT diagram is that the main factors causing constraints on the distribution process at PT. Toba Pulp Lestari Tbk during the research was a bottleneck at the logging station, the loading process and the shipping process.

  1. The application of TOC finds the bottleneck work station (which has the smallest capacity) which is the obstacle, namely the logging work station
  2. The actual production line with 5 work stations is still far from the criteria for a good line.

 Track improvement produces two alternative paths, where the best alternative has a smoothing index value of 950 and a path efficiency of 95%. . The company needs to apply the best alternative proposal to balance the distribution path. By implementing these alternatives, it can reduce the idle time of each work station.
